(A) Week 7 Overview — Start Here
Welcome to Unit 7: Intervals Outward II, and the Mid-Course Check
Session 1 your ear finishes the interval family — sixths, sevenths, the octave, and the tritone, the restless distance with two spellings. Session 2 is the mid-course cumulative check, in place of this week's weekly skills check: fourteen ears-only questions answered together, then ninety seconds of singing on the posted rotation — the same drills, administered.
And breathe: the theory midterm is next week — this check sits a week early on purpose, so the two big mornings never share a day.

Leap-mapping is the semester's party trick: name a melody's leaps and the notes write themselves — a tune transcribed in minutes, by ear, because every distance inside the octave is now a sound you can call by name.
How to succeed: five ten-minute sessions beat one fifty-minute session, every time — and trust the rotation.

Hi everyone,
In session 1 we finish the interval family — the wide leaps, the octave, and the tritone, the restless sound with two names. Then we rehearse session 2 until it's boring.
Session 2 is the mid-course check — seven weeks of sounds, two parts, no surprises. And the theory midterm? Next week, on purpose.
Tutorial 7 before session 1; recordings and practice close at the end of the week. Next week: Foundations, consolidated in minor.
