Week 9 — Reaching More Customers: Distribution, Promotion & Digital Commerce
Welcome to your Week 9 Start Here page.
Why this matters
Whether you sell from a family farm or keep riders informed at a city transit agency, you need a path to buyers and an honest message.
In plain language
A good product at a fair price still has to reach buyers, and buyers have to hear about it. Distribution (every decision about how a product gets from the business that makes it to the buyer) is the first half of that job. Promotion (the ways a business tells buyers about its offer) is the second half. This week you will trace the paths products take, sort the tools a business uses to talk with buyers, and set a promotion budget. You will also learn which claims a business may honestly make, and which it may not.
- Already covered: Week 7 built the four Ps; Week 8 grew the cart.
- This week: channels, promotion, and the budget.
- How they connect: place and promotion, in depth.
- Where we're going next: Week 10, Leading the Work.
Focus

By the end of this module, you should be able to:
- [ ] tell direct from indirect channels
- [ ] sort tools into the promotional mix
- [ ] compute a promotion budget
